SupraSpace

One command centre for every coding CLI.

A local command centre for multiple coding CLIs: real PTY terminals via node-pty and xterm.js, a 1/2/4/6 grid, Kanban, persistent Markdown memory in .supraspace/, swarms, MCP and integrations, CLI profiles for Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode and Kiro. Pre-launch, waitlist.

SupraSpace homepage, a command centre for coding CLIs

Developers run several agents and CLIs in parallel, often in separate windows. SupraSpace brings those sessions into one grid with shared project context.

The product is pre-launch. The public page lets people join a waitlist; the work focuses on the local command centre and project memory.

  • Terminals had to be real PTYs, not a console simulation.
  • The grid had to stay useful from 1 to 6 panes without breaking legibility.
  • Project memory had to live on disk, in a readable, versionable format.

node-pty and xterm.js for terminals

Each pane opens a real process through node-pty and renders the session with xterm.js. CLIs keep their native behaviour.

Trade-offThe product depends on operating-system capabilities and needs serious process management.

Fastify and WebSocket for real time

The local server exposes sessions and events over WebSocket. The interface stays responsive without polling.

Trade-offReal time adds reconnection and state complexity to monitor.

Markdown memory in .supraspace/

Project context is written as Markdown in a dedicated folder. It stays readable by a human, an agent or a tool such as Git.

Trade-offPlain text limits structured queries, but keeps memory portable and inspectable.

  1. Specify

PTY constraints, grid and the Markdown memory format described before work started.

  2. Orchestrate

Agents on distinct scopes (server, terminal, interface), coordinated through project memory in .supracortex/.

  3. Verify

Each step reviewed, with manual validation of real sessions before adding a view.

A local server, real terminals, shared project memory.

  • The 1/2/4/6 terminal grid with real PTYs.
  • Kanban, swarms and profiles for Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode and Kiro.
  • Persistent Markdown memory in .supraspace/.
  • MCP integrations and the waitlist page.

I would validate the real load of six open terminals earlier, before adding more views.
